WHO WE ARE
Helping Congolese youth reach their potential.
Founded by a student from the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), in the city of Goma, Buendedi was built on the belief that education shouldn’t be determined by where you’re born.
Buendedi serves Congolese youth, specifically high school students residing in the Ngafula commune, located in the western outskirts of Kinshasa, the capital city of the DRC. Ngafula, an underserved community with a rapidly growing population, is home to many families experiencing significant socio-economic hardships, limited educational resources, and barriers to accessing quality education.
Buendedi was founded to address these challenges head-on—beginning with direct tuition support, community engagement, and long-term investments in school infrastructure.
By channeling resources into secondary education, Buendedi amplifies the return on every scholarship and classroom it supports—turning today’s students into tomorrow’s teachers, health workers, and civic leaders who will multiply impact across the DRC.
